"30 million Euro fraud from Albania to Austria", 5 arrested from the Call Center operation appear in court

Five of the people arrested in the operation that targeted several call centers that were defrauding European citizens have come out today to familiarize themselves with the security measures.

According to the investigative file, the alarm was raised in 2024 by the Austrian authorities, where thousands of citizens were defrauded of over 30 million euros in damages.

Austrian authorities, through information sent on 25.11.2024, inform that the persons responsible for the online platforms ALPHASCRYPTO, CAPITALMARKET24 and GOLDCAPITAL24, are suspected of having committed fraud involving large amounts in Vienna and other cities in Austria from the period June 15, 2023 to July 30, 2024.

Through fraud, the perpetrators have unfairly benefited themselves or on behalf of other persons, as they have transferred significant amounts of money to the injured parties due to fraud and the presentation of false data, which in total is thought to be more than 30 million euros.

Victims are usually lured into these fraudulent platforms through a fake advertisement by a celebrity. The alleged investments are not realized and the funds are funneled into a complex money laundering network.
