Prime Minister Edi Rama's official visit to Rome and Barcelona, agenda revealed
Prime Minister Edi Rama will pay a working visit to Rome and Barcelona on April 16-18, as part of international commitments and strengthening cooperation with European partners.
The Prime Minister's Office announces that during his stay in Italy, Rama will hold a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and then with Defense Minister Guido Crosetto.
Following the visit, Prime Minister Rama will participate, at the invitation of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, in the proceedings of the fourth meeting of the "In Defense of Democracy" Summit, taking place in Barcelona, Spain.
The summit's proceedings will focus on key topics such as "Institutions and Multilateralism" and "Disinformation and Digital Technology", where special attention will be paid to regulating the digital environment to combat disinformation, strengthening democratic institutions and multilateralism, and combating inequalities as a foundation for a strong democracy.
Within the framework of the Summit, Prime Minister Rama will also hold bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Sanchez and the President of the European Council, António Costa.
