Violent clashes occurred at today's court hearing for the murder of the minor, Martin Cani.
There were tensions during the hearing, as Luis Meçe's father, who was injured in the tragic incident, argued with prosecutor Alma Felaj.
In a statement to EuroNews Albania, Luis Meçe's father shared details of the incident.
According to him, the prosecutor claimed that the fight between the young men was planned and that the victim (Martin Cani) and his friend, Luis Meçe, had communicated on their cell phones on Sunday to organize a meeting on Monday with the perpetrator (Mario Përlleshaj).
After the prosecutor stated that the first beginnings of the fatal incident began late at night, while the children's parents were sleeping, Meça's father became irritated.
As a result, he retorted: You've been sleeping on the file for 6 months.
While in the statement given to the media, he explains that there was a lot of pressure during the testimony and added that there were several reasons that indicated that there was collaboration in order to prevent the full story from being revealed.
"I told the prosecutor that the boys came with me from Kavaja and they weren't alone. Luis has been sleeping since 9 o'clock. She told me you don't know what they talked about at dinner. The prosecutor's claim was that Martin and Luis talked on Sunday at dinner to organize for Monday's meeting with Marion. The prosecutor was putting pressure on her to get more out of the children, because the prosecutors have their phones and can check them a lot to see if they talked or not. But the prosecutor made her get the boy out of herself and make him look bad in the testimony. I reacted there and told her the boys didn't talk at dinner, while she told me that you don't know that you slept. I was outraged and said: 'I'm sorry, but you can't insult me like that, because you're the one who's been sleeping on the file for 6 months, while we're burning for those children. On Sunday they didn't communicate at dinner, they were in Kavaja, they had a football match and I brought them to Tirana, they were with me. There were several reasons that seemed to me like collaboration that they do not want to clarify the matter. The children have testified, they have not deviated from what they said from the beginning. The jury should investigate the matter, open the cameras and watch and verify them", said Luis's father.
