Conflict within the family in Rrogozhina/ Father loses his life, brother steals his brother's house

In the new neighborhood of Rrogozhina, we met with Ramazan Ali, who after more than 30 years is at risk of being left homeless.

In 1994, for the house where he currently lives, Ramazan Aliu conducted a legal process to establish the fact, where the right to mortgage registration was also noted in the court decision.

However, Ramazan did not take any action to certify the apartment, being satisfied with only the 1994 decision. In 2022, his brother, Hasan Aliu, sued Ramazan in court for property division. According to Ramazan, in a communication between them, Hasan stated that everything was now in his name, as he had been provided with ownership certificates.

The show "Stop" inquired with the Albanian Property Registry to understand how the apartment ended up in Hasan Ali's name. According to the Albanian Property Registry, the initial property registration and opening of the card were made in 2005 in the name of Gani Ali, the father of the family, based on land lists.

"In 2022, I received a summons from the court, for the division of property. My brother had brought me. Meanwhile, the ASHK has issued this in his name, the house, which is under a court decision that is in my father's name. He told me on the phone that everything is in his name. I have made the ownership certificate in the mortgage,"  says Ramazan Aliu.

After Gani Ali's death, the children, brothers and sisters, donated their respective shares in favor of Hasan Ali. It was not possible to establish communication with Hasan Ali, but the other brother, Izet, said that the house downstairs belongs only to Hasan. According to him, the one who supported his parents also belongs to them.

"The house upstairs belongs to my father and Ramazan, the house downstairs belongs to Hasan only. It's that simple. The one who supported his parents also gets the share of the parents upstairs, Ramazan supported his parents, he gets the share upstairs. Zero communication with Hasan, except that he took his brother to court and I severed relations with him", said Izeti. / STOP show
