Known for his stance against Albanian immigrants, former British minister expelled from Conservatives

Former British Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick is no longer part of the Conservative Party, following the party's decision to remove him from all structures.
The move comes at a time when the Conservatives continue to lose key figures to Nigel Farage's Reform Party, while Jenrick himself is seen as the next name to land at the right-wing rival.
Jenrick is one of the most controversial politicians for his harsh anti-immigration stances, where Albanians have often been at the center of the attack.
He became known for a viral video in which he asked British officers to identify and deport Albanians "wherever they are in Britain", which was interpreted as a stigmatization campaign against the Albanian community.
But his rhetoric was not limited to Albanians. Jenrick also strongly supported Rwanda's policy of deporting asylum seekers to the African country — a proposal that directly affected hundreds of new Albanian immigrants arriving via the Channel.
Following internal criticism and the Conservative Party's decline in the 2024 election, Jenrick resigned from his post, moving increasingly closer to Nigel Farage's hardline.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer has described his departure as an abandonment of a declining party, while analysts see it as part of a continuing flow of right-wing politicians towards the Reform Party.
