Albanian youth arrested in Italy, trafficked cocaine hidden in flower pots and chewing gum packs

A 19-year-old Albanian has been arrested by the Italian Carabinieri in Cesenatico (Forlì province), suspected of distributing narcotics. According to authorities, the young man was caught red-handed while handing over a dose of cocaine of about 1.2 grams to a buyer. After the intervention, the officers detained both people and searched the 19-year-old, where 7 doses of cocaine with a total weight of about 5 grams were found in his jacket pocket, as well as 385 euros in cash, which are suspected to have been obtained from illegal activity.
Investigations continued in the surrounding area, where in a flower garden - a place where the young man had been seen earlier - another 56 doses of cocaine, weighing about 42 grams, were discovered, hidden in four metal chewing gum boxes.
The checks were then extended to his apartment, where two more doses of cocaine, a dose of marijuana, around 1,500 euros in cash, as well as two electronic scales and materials used for drug packaging were seized. The court in Forlì has confirmed the arrest of the young man, imposing on him the measure of mandatory stay in the province of Forlì-Cesena, until the next court hearing, which is expected to take place at the end of May.
