Iran's near-total internet shutdown continues for 57th consecutive day

Internet monitoring organization NetBlocks reports that the outage is "now entering its 57th day after 1,344 hours," making it one of the longest restrictions on online access in the country in recent years.
The restrictions began after the resumption of anti-government protests in early January and were further tightened after the start of the US and Israeli war against Iran in late February.
The widespread internet outage has had a major impact on daily life and the country's economy. Businesses that rely on online communication, e-commerce, and digital services have been hit hard, while many employees have been unable to carry out their normal activities.
In addition to the economic impact, internet restrictions are often used by authorities to control the flow of information and limit the organization of protests. This has led to criticism from international organizations, which consider internet access an important element for freedom of expression and fundamental rights.
The situation remains tense, and there are still no clear signs of when restrictions will be fully lifted.
