Residents of dozens of villages in Tropoja and Has in the area of the Qafë Prushi crossing point protested again today about the road connecting Kosovo with these areas, which is in a deplorable condition, which has blocked thousands of residents, especially in winter when the Kam-Qafë Prushi road axis becomes completely impassable.
This road, just over 25 kilometers long, has been neglected and has not seen any investment since it was built during the Italian occupation. This road is the only one without investment in both municipalities and the residents urgently request state intervention so that they too can be connected to other residential areas both in Kosovo and in B.Curr and Krumë, which are also the centers of both municipalities.
Protesters symbolically blocked the road connecting the Qafë Prushi customs with Has, once again demanding the attention of the state. They said that if there is no reaction, there will be other forms of protest, up to and including a boycott of the May 11 elections.
Residents said that the next protest will be in front of the Tropoja and Has municipalities.
