Explosions with explosives, murders and drug trafficking/ Arrested in Greece,

The Greek police have arrested an Albanian wanted for murder.

Ralf Feruku, 48 years old from Melani i Dibra, was detained at Athens Airport.

The check in the system revealed that he had an exit ban from Greece as well as an arrest warrant for "intentional murder" and "explosive explosion".

Specifically, he is accused of the incident of December 29, 2014 on the national road "Attiki", near the airport of Athens, where a "SMART" type vehicle with license plate IMT-2460 exploded with explosives, leaving the citizen driver dead. Aleks Rapo, 35 years old, seriously injuring the passenger Maria Lamja, then 26 years old, originally from Tirana.

In the apartment of the 35-year-old killed in "Ag. Dimitrios" the police found pistols, a revolver, 103 cartridges and a grenade. He had previous precedents for drug, arms and human trafficking, while he was arrested in 2004 in Thessaloniki and sentenced to eight years in prison.

He was released four years later from Larisa prison. Rapo meanwhile, as later written about him in some media, was involved in the explosive robbery of ATMs with the "plofkraak" method and had a relationship with an old bodyguard in Iliupoli.

The latter was accused of drug issues and trafficking and exploitation of women. He also had relations with people in Arber Bako's group, who was killed in prison a few years ago by members of the same group.

Who is Ralf Feruku?

Ralf Feruku was declared wanted for the murder of Rapo only in 2022.

The Greek prosecution identified Feruk as the author of the murder, as the latter had used Alex Rapo's "Smart" vehicle the night before the incident, but also based on some other evidence. Feruku has previously been accused of two murders in Piraeus and a prison in Crete, and also took part in a fight with his compatriots outside a club where a businessman was killed in 2019.

In addition, he was accused of murdering a fellow countryman in 2017 in Glyfada, but he was acquitted.

In Greece, Ralf Feruku is also known as "Taqi Albaniani" or "Noti".

Ralf Feruku was arrested by the police on January 29, 2021 in Lamia in an armored vehicle where he was in the company of Alket Rizai, who had been released from prison for a few days. At the time of the arrest, the police discovered that there was an arrest warrant against Feruk as a suspect for cooperation in the murder of Roland Shembitras and Gjergji Kapaj at the "Joy Bar" in Glifadha on October 8, 2017. After the arrest, Feruk was held in prison until 12 April 2021 when he was released by order of the prosecutor without any security measures and was deported to Albania.

Feruku was imprisoned for the first time in 1997 for the murder of a Greek in Piraeus, but he was sentenced to only 5 years in prison as the killing was considered self-defense. During his stay in the prison of Crete, in 1999 he was suspected along with some other fellow prisoners of the murder of another prisoner but was later declared innocent.

He is suspected of having participated in a shootout outside a mini casino in the Patisia area in 2019. Several policemen are also accused of this incident, who clashed with civilians for illegal matters.

Also in 2015, he was accused of participating in a group of fine payers in Athens, Iliupoli, etc. It is learned that he has denied the murder of Roland Shembitras and the wounding of Gjergji Kapaj, stating that he was a friend of Roland and a customer of the bar "Joy Bar". He stated that the murder was committed by other persons who were not masked and that there was a fight between them and the victim before the murder.
