Is an attack on Iran being prepared? The US increases the presence of military aircraft and ships in the Middle East

The US has continued to increase the deployment of fighter jets and military aircraft in the Middle East despite ongoing talks with Iran, according to open-source intelligence reports.
More than 330 U.S. military aircraft are now deployed to the region, an increase of about 10% in two days, mostly spread out at Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan and Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The build-up includes the 8th and 9th Carrier Air Wings aboard the aircraft carriers USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Gerald R. Ford.
In the past two days, 40 more C-17 and C-5 logistics flights have arrived in the area under U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), bringing the total to about 310 flights since early January to assemble the air force, along with Patriot and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense systems.
About 86 KC-46 and KC-135 tanker aircraft remain deployed to CENTCOM or en route to the region. Including those stationed in the United Kingdom and Europe, a total of 127 U.S. KC-46 and KC-135 aircraft have been mobilized.
The assembled force includes a mix of support and combat aircraft. Some 84 F-18E/F, 36 F-15E, 54 F-16C/CJ/CM, and 42 F-35A/C jets make up nearly 65% of the total, while the remaining aircraft include specialized platforms such as 18 EA-18G “Growler” electronic warfare aircraft, 12 A-10C “Thunderbolt” close air support aircraft, five E-11A Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) aircraft, and six E-3 “Sentry” Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft.
Beyond the Middle East, another 113 aircraft — including 13 F-22s, 48 F-35As, 40 F-15Es and 12 F-16C/CJ/CM aircraft — are positioned at European bases, primarily at RAF Lakenheath in the United Kingdom, and could be deployed to CENTCOM if needed.
There have been no observed movements of the B-2 bombers used in Operation Midnight Hammer last June. However, increased strategic transport activity has been detected at Naval Support Center Diego Garcia, the joint UK-US base in the Indian Ocean, suggesting possible future use by B-2 bombers.
