NAME/ Murder of 17-year-old Albanian in Greece, suspected perpetrator arrested, what he stated to the Police

New details have come to light from the serious incident recorded in Greece, where 17-year-old Albanian Aleks Vangjeli was stabbed to death after a fight with another young man.

It is reported that a few hours after the crime, the police arrested the suspected perpetrator. According to official sources , the perpetrator is a 17-year-old Greek citizen, who had gone to the local police department and admitted that he was the one who committed the murder of Vangjeli and injured his 19-year-old friend.

"I came to surrender, I am the one you are looking for for murder," he declared. According to the author, the cause of the incident was a banal quarrel between them.

His mother was also arrested on charges of neglect of a minor and attempted concealment of evidence, after police said she tried to confuse investigators by saying the injured 19-year-old was the perpetrator. Both will be sent to court for bail on Saturday morning, February 28.

The 17-year-old Albanian was found lying in the street with multiple stab wounds, including a wound to the chest that caused damage to his heart.

The 19-year-old, a close friend of the victim, was injured in the abdomen and transported to the Athens hospital, where he underwent surgery and is currently in the surgical clinic.

The incident appears to have occurred in the early hours of Friday morning in the Loutraki neighborhood, but details about the location and exact circumstances are being investigated by police.

The mother of the injured 19-year-old spoke to Greek media:

"I don't know anything yet, I was sleeping when they took me. As for the other child, I found out he had died on the way. He was a close friend of my son. Who are those who killed one child and went to kill another? I don't know..."

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, while authorities are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the case.
