Described by followers as Brad Pitt, the famous bodybuilder dies at a very young age

A 30-year-old Iranian bodybuilder, dubbed by his followers as Iran's Brad Pitt because of his looks, has died weeks after being shot in the eye during anti-regime protests in early January. Davood Soharabi was seriously injured on January 7 during a demonstration.
He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed surgery to remove his damaged eye. However, after the operation, he fell into a coma and never recovered. Fifty days later, the 30-year-old passed away.
Born in the village of Yam in northeastern Iran, Davood had moved to Tehran to work as a bodybuilding coach. He was active on social media and dreamed of becoming a model. Just two hours before he took part in the protest, he had won a silver medal in a bodybuilding competition.
After his death, family members reported that his mother had been hospitalized due to a serious emotional condition. The family is under strict surveillance by Iranian authorities.
Various sources claim that authorities have pressured relatives to present Davood as a member of the Basij, a volunteer paramilitary militia operating under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The funeral ceremony took place in Tehran, where witnesses said members of the Basij and people in civilian clothes suspected of being intelligence agents also attended.
