'We do not want EU integration'/ German journalist's 'bombshell': Rama and Vučić come out with this common position

German journalist Michael Martens has made a shocking warning.
He writes that Edi Rama and Aleksandar Vučić will come out with a joint position in an editorial in the German newspaper, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, where they will state that they do not necessarily want EU integration.
“Next: A joint initiative by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on the enlargement of the European Union. This step is expected to attract a lot of attention, although many will be against it. More soon in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung/FAZ.
Exit from stagnation? In a joint article for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Edi Rama and Aleksandar Vučić do not necessarily seek EU membership, but support their countries' admission to the European common market and the Schengen Area:
This idea did not originate with Vučić and Rama, but they are the first influential politicians to publicly and clearly embrace it as their own. Although Albania and Serbia are not the most suitable places to implement this approach right now, a debate on it could still be useful.
The prerequisite, of course, would be that the offer is taken seriously by the EU and its states – more seriously than the farce currently known as “EU enlargement policy”.
For the full article by Rama and Vučić, see Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung,” the journalist writes.
