A couple in Florida, United States, are facing murder charges after the dismembered body of a teenage girl was found in a trash can.
According to authorities, it is believed that the young woman met the couple through a dating app.
The St. Petersburg Police Department confirmed in a statement shared on Facebook that the body of 16-year-old Miranda Corsette was left in a dumpster for nearly 2 weeks after she was reported missing.
Police report that suspect Steven Gress, 35, met Corsette on a dating app and convinced her to visit him at his home for Valentine's Day.
“After meeting her the first time, Corsette went back to her home,” police said. Authorities believe she stayed with the couple until the teenager’s grandmother reported her missing.
