Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi arrested in Iran

The winner of the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize, Narges Mohammadi, was arrested in Iran, her supporters announced today.
The foundation that bears her name said Mohammadi was arrested at a memorial service for a human rights lawyer who was recently found dead.
Iran has not yet announced the arrest.
However, Mohamady's supporters have warned for months that there is a risk that she will be arrested again after she is released from prison in December 2024 for medical reasons.
Although she was only supposed to be free for three weeks, she stayed longer, perhaps because activists and Western countries pressured Iran to keep her free.
Mohammadi continued her activism with public protests and appearances in foreign media, including demonstrations outside Tehran's Evin Prison, where she was being held.
