The clash between Valentino Rossi and his father Graciano ends in court.
It all starts in 2024, when the motorcycling icon requests and receives the appointment as a support administrator for his father, now 71 years old, whom he considers psychologically fragile.
After a year, Graciano asks his son to be released from this legal control.
Valentino refuses and initiates civil proceedings. On March 4, 2025, the Pesaro court rules in favor of the father, considering him fully capable of understanding and acting. At this point, Valentino decides not to appeal the decision, but moves on to another front: he files a criminal complaint against his father's current partner, accusing her of exploiting an incapacitated person.
According to his reconstruction, she withdrew 176 thousand euros from Graciano Rossi's account, of which 100 thousand were described as "loans", as well as another 34 thousand euros in "cash" during the 12 years of their relationship. The discovery, according to Valentino, occurred during the year when he was acting as a support administrator.
Deputy Prosecutor Irene Lilliu has ordered a series of psychiatric examinations for Graciano Rossi, which have confirmed that he does not need a support administrator and that he cannot be considered delinquent or incompetent.
Now, while the Guardia di Finanza is investigating all financial outflows from Graciano Rossi's accounts, the prosecution must decide whether to request the case against his partner be closed or sent to trial.
