A serious incident has occurred in Italy, where a 22-year-old woman was stabbed to death in the middle of the street in Messina.
Italian media reports that Sara Campanella, from Palermo, was stabbed in the neck by a man who then fled. The young woman, who was in her third year at university, was taken to hospital in serious condition but did not survive her injuries.
Preliminary investigations suspect that the perpetrator is a peer of the 22-year-old, with whom he had an affair.
