A tragic incident has occurred at a hotel in Paris, where a newborn baby lost his life when his mother, an 18-year-old American tourist, threw him out of the room window, moments after he was born, according to local police.
According to authorities, the 18-year-old mother, who was traveling with a group of young people in Europe, is suspected of throwing her newborn from the second floor of a hotel while the umbilical cord was still attached.
As the Daily Mail reports, emergency services immediately arrived at the scene and took the baby to hospital. However, according to the Paris prosecutor's office, the child did not make it due to his injuries.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the “murder of a minor under 15 years old,” the city prosecutor’s office told Le Parisien newspaper. The young woman was taken to hospital where she will undergo surgery after giving birth.
