Gavi rejects Manchester United offer, only wants Barcelona

Gavi closes the door on Manchester United. The Spanish midfielder has ruled out a move to Old Trafford as he rejected the Red Devils' £35m (€40m) offer.
The news was announced by the British tabloid 'Mirror', according to which the Spanish national team player has expressed his desire to stay at Barcelona and that he has no interest in transferring to England.
This attitude has undoubtedly disappointed Manchester United, who have secured the services of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos in this summer's transfer window for a combined £85m. Gavi joined Barcelona when he was just 11 years old and has played 119 league games for the Blaugrana, making his debut in 2021. Last season he was sidelined for 5 months due to a serious knee injury. In March, he returned to the field and managed to earn a place for the Spanish national team in the 2026 World Cup, where La Roja triumphed in the final after beating Argentina 1-0.
The midfielder has a contract with Barcelona until 2030, while coach Hansi Flick himself does not want the player to leave.
