Yes, I will run!

Friends, journalists, well-wishers have often asked me: Why don't you run for the position of president of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Albania?
So far I have not answered them, out of courtesy but also because I have never had it as an objective before.
I tried another model without any personal interest!
But, currently I say that it is still too early for formalized candidacies.
Meanwhile, for these three objectives that I never abandon:
1. To resist the irresponsible and politically amoral enterprise of some worn-out deputy, for years, who seeks, pushed by various lobbies, to change the law on the academy by making its leaders lifelong, no longer limiting it to one mandate their office, even after 75 years,
2. To continue to promote my model for a real academy of sciences, according to Western models without exception, not turned into a research institute without an axis and without an axis, which duplicates other institutes and thus wastes public money,
3. To show the failures of the current model imposed by force by a handful of MPs whose whereabouts are unknown today, imposed by politics,
yes, for these three objectives I do not rule out running at all!
And today, although it is probably still too early to consider it an irreversible decision, I am convinced that I will do it!
