Although Mediu highlighted it for his own electoral interests, let's not forget that he is an old and loyal ally of Berisha, it is clear that the agreement between Rama and Berisha has its origins with the release of the corrupt through the criminal amnesty. which was followed by the granting of the seal of the DP to Berisha and was finalized with the closing of the lists.
We must emphasize that this statement by a historical ally such as Mediu for the PD comes shortly after the departure of Agron Duka from Berisha's opposition camp, which clearly shows that even the PD's allies do not believe in Berisha's victory.
Because, with this Pazar, Edi Rama secures a mandate of four governors, since such a thing is coming to the fore in all the recent polls, where Berisha's PD is more modest and with the least number of deputies in the whole country circles.
On the other hand, Berisha keeps the opposition and the DP stuck to his personal predicament, depersonalizing the whole group of deputies, who, being forced to like Berisha due to the closed list, pluck every mouthing nonsense just to please him, regardless of whether or not such a thing holds up politically.
Democrats and Albanians in general have hoped for a strong opposition that would challenge Rama's government. But this hope seems to have been betrayed by Berisha, who, due to his personal interests and his legal predicament, has chosen to bargain with Rama.
Closed lists have become a mechanism to reward loyal MPs, providing them with safe seats in parliament, despite the lack of meritocracy or real representation of the electorate. This humiliation of the democratic process is not only a blow to the opposition, but also to the Albanian citizens themselves, who deserve a more honest and responsible policy.
