A document from the Special Court, which justifies the need to keep former chief spy Vlora Hyseni under "house arrest" security measure, shows that the risk of her escape was real if she were to be released.
The Special Prosecution Office suspects that at least two Israeli citizens could have helped the former senior official leave Albania, to avoid criminal investigation on charges of "Supporting the perpetrator of a crime" and "Disclosure of secret acts or data, providing information considered secret to third parties."
" Communications mediated by Ergys Agasi with foreign citizens (identified by the pseudonyms Shalev Israel and Srulik Einhorn Koces ), who are mentioned in connection with matters related to the head of the secret service, reasonably indicate the presence of an international network serving the interests of the criminal group, a network that increases the concrete degree of risk that Ms. Hyseni, if she remained at large, would have privileged access to channels of escape or concealment that are beyond the effective control of the prosecuting authorities ," says a part of the file, obtained exclusively by " Boldnews.al ".
The investigative materials do not provide more details about these two mysterious characters, but it is noted that they are acquaintances of Ergys Agas and part of the criminal network run by him.
Albania's former spy chief, Vlora Hyseni, has filed a request with the Special Court of Appeals for the easing of the security measure. She is currently under "house arrest" and is requesting the second instance of justice to ease the measure.
However, the two prosecutors representing the prosecution, Altin Dumani and Bledar Maksuti, requested more time to prepare the file opposing the relaxation of the security measure and yesterday, the Special Court accepted their request, leaving the "House Arrest" in force.
Referring to the official SPAK press release, the security measures "House arrest" and "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service" have been assigned to Vlora Hyseni, as a person under investigation for criminal offenses provided for in articles 302/2 and 295/a/1 of the Criminal Code.
Articles 302/2 and 295/a/1 of the Criminal Code deal with Supporting the perpetrator of the crime, in this case Ergys Agasi, so that he can escape search, capture or arrest, as well as Disclosure of secret acts or data, providing information considered secret to third parties, again in this case Ergys Agasi.
