"Free the Albanians"/ Day 97, at 10:00 in front of the court for the arrested protesters, in the afternoon in front of the Prime Minister's Office

For the 97th consecutive day, citizens are expected to gather again today in Tirana to continue their protest against the government. The resistance, which has now entered its fourth month, continues with the main demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, while protesters are also demanding a change in the political system.

Last night's protest marked the 96th day of mobilization. Citizens first gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office and then marched through the streets of Tirana, carrying national flags and flares. "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison," "You have come to an end," and "New Albania" were among the repeated chants during the rally.

The protest has long taken on a daily character. It began as a reaction to the Zvërnec project, but as the weeks passed, the demands expanded and the movement took a stance against the government and the old political class. In previous protests, calls against Rama and Berisha, as well as demands for a new political system, were simultaneously articulated.

The climate has been tense in recent days. The September 1 protest was accompanied by clashes with the Police and associations, causing citizens to march towards the Security Block yesterday and the day before yesterday, demanding the release of the arrested persons. "You are not alone" and "Free the boys, free the girls" were the chants that accompanied the march.

Even yesterday evening, the protesters reiterated that they have no intention of stopping their resistance and that the rallies will continue until their demands are met.

Citizens, activists, and media representatives have taken the floor in the square over the past few days, raising issues ranging from corruption and the cost of living to education, healthcare, and the way institutions function.

Journalist Osman Stafa linked the protest to social discontent and called for the continuation of resistance, while also denouncing the arrests of protesters.

Criticism of the government also came from activist Tomi Progni, who accused the executive of being more focused on communication and social networks than on citizens' problems.

Despite the protest entering its 97th day, organizers and participants have shown no signs of backing down. On the contrary, the slogan "More tomorrow" has been used repeatedly as a message for the rallies to continue.
