A serious accident with one victim and two injured was recorded today on the Lure-Rrëshen axis, in the village of Kurbnesh, Mirdita.
Three young men were traveling in the car, who were returning from Lura. It is initially suspected that the 20-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle, going off the road and ending up in a ravine.
As a result of the accident, 20-year-old Claudio Ndoj, who was traveling as a passenger, died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, also 20 years old, Arli Kacorri, and the other passenger, a 15-year-old, were seriously injured.
The firefighters had to intervene to extract the bodies that ended up in the abyss. The two injured were transported by helicopter to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
"On the Lurë-Rrëshen road, in the village of Kurbnesh, Mirditë, the vehicle driven by citizen AK, about 20 years old, went off the road.
As a result, citizen CN, about 20 years old, a passenger in the vehicle, has passed away. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, citizen AK, 20 years old, and the other passenger, a minor, about 15 years old, have been transported by helicopter to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana," the police announced.
The investigation team is at the scene and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is carrying out procedural actions to fully document the circumstances and causes of the accident.
