Escalations in Paris, violent clashes between protesters and police, Molotov cocktails and tear gas thrown

Clashes between protesters and police were recorded on Saturday afternoon in Paris, during a massive demonstration that swept the French capital.
According to French media reports, including BFMTV, tensions erupted when the march arrived in the Porte de Sarandon area.
Dozens of masked people dressed in black tore tiles off the sidewalks with hammers and then threw them at the police.

An incendiary device was also thrown at the police. The police responded with tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the protesters.
The Police Prefecture announced that, towards the end of the march, a group of several hundred protesters attacked the security forces by throwing hard objects and a Molotov cocktail. Authorities announced that they were intervening to end the incidents and restore public order.
Despite the clashes, the dispersal of the rest of the demonstration proceeded without problems, according to French authorities.
Meanwhile, according to the Inter-Union Youth Organization, around 500,000 people participated in the demonstrations held throughout France, while in Paris alone the participation of around 200,000 protesters was reported.
