Kane misses from the penalty spot, Bayern stops Dortmund

What was supposed to be a double celebration for Harry Kane ended in disappointment. The England striker presented the Ballon d'Or trophy to the fans at the Allianz Arena, but Bayern Munich failed to secure a victory over Borussia Dortmund, settling for a 2-2 draw.
The clash between the two Bundesliga rivals provided plenty of excitement and chances. Bayern were close to taking the lead in the 10th minute when Michael Olise hit the post, while Dortmund responded with attempts from Jobe Bellingham and Ismael Saibari.
The home side took the lead in the 38th minute. Konrad Laimer took advantage of Olise's set-up and fired the ball into the net. An earlier goal by Bellingham for Dortmund had been disallowed for a foul.
In the second half, Kane had a chance to extend the lead, but in the 56th minute he missed from the penalty spot, sending the penalty over the crossbar. Just four minutes later, Serhou Guirassy equalized for Dortmund.
Bayern responded quickly and in the 66th minute restored the advantage. Harry Kane headed in Dayot Upamecano, who scored the second goal for the Bavarians. The English striker came close to scoring again in the 75th minute, but this time the ball hit the post.
When victory seemed assured for Vincent Kompany's team, Fabio Silva scored in the 89th minute, tying the score at 2-2. In extra time, Lennart Karl missed another chance for the home side, his shot hitting the crossbar.
Thus, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were separated by one point in a hard-fought match. For Harry Kane, the trophy celebration presented to the fans was accompanied by a missed penalty and a draw in the last minutes.
