The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during a speech held at the podium organized by the DP in front of the Prime Minister's Office in Tirana, returned to the attacks on SPAK, declaring that the only hope to overthrow Rama remains a revolt.
In a strong-toned statement, Berisha said that the opposition movement is not a "football match," but a battle that, according to him, cannot be stopped.
"Our uprising is not a football match, but there is no force in the world to stop it from going to victory," he declared.
Referring to citizens' trust in justice, Berisha said that Albanians had placed great hopes in SPAK, even though he himself has constantly criticized this institution.
"Albanian citizens, rightly or wrongly, trusted the party's SPAK. According to polls, 70% trusted this institution. They believed that they would be saved from theft and corruption and that this institution would protect their interests," Berisha said.
He raised questions about the functioning of justice, using harsh language towards former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
"Today, when the teeth of this institution remain in Lubi Balluku's hips, what do you say? What hope do you have anymore? Is this the end of hope? Never!" he said.
Berisha continued by emphasizing that the only hope, according to him, remains with the citizens and their unity to remove Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"The hope is you yourselves. Let's unite and remove Edi Rama, restore justice, law and the Constitution. With Edi Rama there is no future in Albania," declared the leader of the Democratic Party.
Berisha's speech
To the Albanian citizens, who, I'm not stopping to say, rightly or wrongly, trusted the party's leader, and as the polls that I never trust say, 70 percent, 60 percent trusted this institution.
They have my understanding because they believed in escaping theft and corruption.
They believed that this institution, with strong international support, would succeed in protecting their interests.
Now I ask the question, Albanians and Albanians, today when the teeth of this institution remain in Lubi Balluku's buttocks, what will you say?
What hope do you have anymore?
Is this the end of you and your hope?
No, never.
The hope is you, to join us, to remove Edi Rama, to restore the law, to restore justice, to restore the Constitution.
With Edi Rama there is no future in Albania.
So you, who believed, you who, because of the faith you had, may have even rebuked me many times when you heard me call him the Scap of the party, you see the fate he suffered as soon as he dared to prosecute Edi Rama, because in fact Lubia was Edi Rama.
He just dared to take possession of the files of Linda Ramë, Armand Frangu, and Ergys Agas.
What is the fate of Skapit, the most supported in the history of this country, there has not been an institution with his support, and I guarantee that the support has been sincere, there has been no other purpose than the interests of Albanian citizens to be protected from the theft of government officials, from organized crime and so on.
