Berisha, Edi Rama's biggest political collateral - Lapardhaja: Vote for Berisha in Tirana and Elbasan, Meta should enter Parliament

Journalist Namir Lapardhaja has reacted to Berisha's recent meeting in Elbasan, stating that he is "Edi Rama's biggest political collateral". Through a status on the social network Facebook, he has commented on the situation created in several electoral districts, singling out Tirana and Elbasan as typical examples of what he describes as "political betrayal of the Albanian right".
According to Lapardha, the vote for Berisha in these districts does not bring representation for the Democrats in Parliament, but ends up with seats for Ilir Meta and former SMI functionaries. He underlines that some of the Democrats "have eaten their shame with bread", accepting alliances and figures that do not represent the ideals of the right at all.
"Is there a greater shame for someone who calls themselves right-wing than contributing to bringing yesterday's LSI people into Parliament? In the face of Edi Rama's corruption, they may seem amateurs, but for the Democratic Party they are a bitter experience from the past," Lapardhaja writes, among other things.
He notes that, despite the rhetoric against the government, the only beneficiary of the situation is Prime Minister Rama himself, who, according to him, has done everything to keep Berisha “in the game.” “From the permits for towers in the middle of Tirana, to the DP seal and logo – he has done everything for this day,” the analyst emphasizes.
Lapardhaja also criticizes the composition of the candidate lists, claiming that the DP under Berisha's leadership has never been the home of true democrats, but "the home of the faction and its narrow sect."
Moreover, he ironizes promises of victory with sarcastic references to the 2025 elections: "Goodbye Doctor, victory is coming. If it doesn't come on May 11, 2025, it will surely come in 2029."
Lapardha's reaction comes at a time when in the last two days Berisha has harshly attacked Lulzim Basha and his supporters, calling on some of them to join him as the only remaining path.
