Berisha presents the DP's program for women: Rama is the most misogynistic

"Empowering women and girls", Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha presented today the DP program on International Women's Day.

First, it is a very special occasion for me to extend my heartfelt congratulations to girls, women, mothers, sisters, democrats, but also to all Albanians wherever they are today on this day that is their day of honor.

The day is a symbol, but the truth is that Albanian society and human society is infinitely obliged to girls and women, to mothers and sisters.

Today we gather on this day at a moment when Albanian women are in one of their most difficult years.

If we go back 30 years ago, during the dictatorship, you would find the Albanian mother working three shifts, barely preparing, barely feeding and clothing her children, in the true sense of the word, she was working hard, but even at that time there were women ministers, members of the Politburo, who protected the interests of the parties and not the interests of Albanian mothers and sisters.

Today, if we go back 30 years, the narco-dictatorship or the dictatorship of the gangs, those who suffer more than anyone else are mothers, women, and girls in all aspects.

Again we have the mother with a low salary or low pension, who is forced to tell her son, daughter, take the paths of the world, follow your destiny because I can't support you, I can't feed you, we have no income, we can't live together.

Because with her income, it has been proven that 41 percent of families cannot feed their children adequately because they are at the poverty line. So, there is a dramatic situation for Albanian mothers and women. There are ministers, there are MPs.

I'll give you an example, a year ago, the French government granted the Albanian government 60 million euros intended for helping women. The truth is, I appreciated it. But why where did they go? They were put in the budget to be stolen.

60 million euros was not a small amount, because with 60 million euros you could have alleviated the debts of thousands of women in business. With 60 million euros you could have supported thousands of their start-ups.

Plus, in those 60 million euros, you should have included a fund. But this fund was completely incorporated into the budget and completely lost its destination. I stopped here at the parable.

Even then, there were female members of the Politburo, even then, there was a women's organization, and even today, there are some ministers, but the problem is that you never hear them talk about the great problems of mothers, sisters, women, girls, about their employment, about their business, about the facilities they deserve.

In fact, if you look at everyday vocabulary, they are excluded. Women are not spoken of, as if they do not exist. Meanwhile, they are absolutely the most abused, perhaps in all of Europe. Violence against them has increased by 50 percent or more.

If you take today's population figures, it has increased by 100 percent in all forms. Again, they are not talked about. It is not a coincidence. Prime Minister Edi Rama is the most misogynistic prime minister that Albania has ever had and that Europe has known. Those outbursts that fell on the table, they are common in the meeting of the Council of Ministers.

They are common in his working day. That is why he does not say a single word in defense, in support of women and girls. There is not a single project, this government cannot show a single project with which it fights for their success.
