Fierce debate about the culture of corruption, Hila leaves the studio angry with Rexhaj

On Euronews Albania's "Now" show, this evening, a strong debate took place between analyst Dritan Hila and Albatros Rexhaj, regarding the phenomenon of corruption and political culture in the region.
The discussion began when Hila brought a historical approach to the concept of the “Near East” and the culture of bribery, linking it to the Albanian reality and the Balkan region. He argued that corruption is part of an Eastern culture that has ancient roots, comparing it to the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans.
Rexhaj objected, saying that Croats and Slovenes have a similar culture to Albanians, seeing the phenomenon as more widespread in the region. At this point, the debate became tense. Hila accused Rexhaj of ignorance of history, while Rexhaj countered by saying that he had lived in the former Yugoslavia and knew the reality of those countries well.
Hila: When you're ignorant about this, don't get involved at all. You don't know the story at all, you don't know what you're talking about.
Rexhaj: If I'm ignorant, then you're more than ignorant. I lived in Yugoslavia, you don't know them at all.
After this heated exchange, Dritan Hila became irritated and left the show, leaving the panel in the middle of the debate.
