The absence of Special Judge Erion Çela was the reason for the failure of the preliminary court hearing against former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj for the "Buka sha" case in the Special Court.
Official court sources informed the media that Judge Çela is on leave.
In this case, Ahmetaj is accused of "abuse of office" during the privatization procedure of the "Buka sha" enterprise, causing damage of millions of euros to the state budget. This case comes for the second time for a preliminary hearing.
In December 2024, the GJKKO decided to return the file to SPAK for completion of the investigations.
