Prime Minister Edi Rama has begun a meeting with Albanians living in Greece, emphasizing the importance of Albania's unification with Europe.

During his speech, Rama declared that this is a historical moment that Albanians have the opportunity to write together, realizing the dream of an Albania inseparable from Europe.

The Prime Minister emphasized the Albanian community in Greece, recalling their difficult history, where many Albanians came to this completely impoverished country, but who today are an inseparable part of national pride. He appealed not to let the hope for EU membership fade away and to unite on May 11 for this important cause.

" We are here to write a piece of history that fate has wanted us to be given the opportunity to write together. To get here, many others before us dreamed of it: the history of Albania inseparable from Europe."

I don't like the term diaspora, but Albanians around the world and Europe registered on May 11 to give a chance to the fact that Albania can once and for all join Europe by becoming part of the EU.

There are 65 thousand of them who are here, in Greece, they are those and the descendants of those who crossed the border completely poor, unsupported and alone, entering the sea on foot in the truest sense of the word, and who today are an inseparable part of the necklace of pride of our nation, a necklace made up of Albanian communities in the world, where the Greek part has taken more than anyone else and has managed to be accepted and integrated by working like no other.

"Let's not let the star of joining the EU fade, but let's come together on May 11 ," he said.
