Journalist and analyst Agim Baçi said in the News24 studio that the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, is giving a message to small parties through today's protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
Baçi said that the government does not leave with protests, but the rallies serve to improve life within the party. He said that Albanians have much more reason to protest than the citizens of Belgrade who have risen up to remove Aleksandar Vučić from power.
Agim Baçi: Governments are not overthrown by protests. Protests are to organize the internal life of parties. Berisha shows with this protest that the one that calls Albanians and has the most support is the DP. So he addresses other parties that it is time to come together. The country needs rotation, but we do not know how Berisha will unite the opposition. Today's protest will ignite the fire even more, but the protests that overthrow the government are those that do not leave the streets. We saw many years ago in Ukraine or as we are seeing in Belgrade where citizens were not called by political parties. Albanians have more reasons to rise up than those who are protesting today in Belgrade.
