"DP is beating small parties with the electoral code" - Hasimja:

Analyst Ermal Hasimja has criticized the Democratic Party's strategy towards small opposition parties, calling it unstable and contradictory. Invited to the show "Off the Record" with Andrea Dangli, Hasimja said that the DP is in a political paradox: on the one hand, it seeks cooperation with new forces, while on the other hand, it negotiates with the Socialist Party changes to the Electoral Code that, according to him, "fall on the heads" of these parties.

According to Hasimja, the DP needs opposition cooperation more than anyone else, as it is the largest force, but is not ready to make real concessions or sacrifices. “It makes no sense to seek cooperation with small parties and, at the same time, agree with the SP on changes to the Electoral Code that harm them,” he stressed.

The analyst assessed that it would be politically and morally more honest for the DP, for as long as the alliance requires, to reach out to new parties, especially on vital issues such as the Electoral Code. He added that these parties bring votes that would never go to the DP, creating a greater opposition potential.

Hasimja also criticized the lack of a common strategy in the opposition, emphasizing that, faced with a government that he described as "extremely weak," the main problem remains the lack of real opposition cooperation.
