Socialist Party MP Ermonela Felaj, who is running on this party's open list in Tirana, was invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, where she was asked about the campaign and the reasons why the SP is seeking a fourth mandate.
Ylli Rakipi : Run in Tirana on an open list. Did you know how Edi Rama had ranked you or did you hear it on TV?
Ermonela Felaj : I had no surprises. I am running for the fifth term. This is the formula. Every generation has its time and its relay. I am part of a new generation of politicians who entered and became part of the SP in 2009. It was a reformist moment for the SP.
Ylli Rakipi : I've more or less started to understand why you win. Even when you're not happy, you say my party punishes me, like Kadri Hazbiu's work. So the party above all, maybe that's why you win.
Ermonela Felaj: There is a simpler reason why we are winning.
When I joined the Socialist Party, I did not come from a political background, I was working for independent power. All those who aspire to become part of parliament face the same dilemma.
Ylli Rakipi: The SP has had three mandates, what is the reason that you should get a fourth mandate?
Ermonela Felaj : Before I came here, I was looking at what you had on your page, one announcement was that of the Commissioner for Enlargement, that Albania will close negotiations in 2027. So it is the case for a simple answer, Albania becomes part of the EU within 2027.
