A shocking event has occurred in Greece, following the tragic death of 21-year-old Atromitos Piraeus footballer Alex Bangse, who collapsed on the field and breathed his last in hospital.
The tragic incident occurred during the first half of the match Atromitos Piraeus – Ikaros Kallithea, at the Rentis Stadium. According to soccerlive.gr, the young athlete felt very unwell in the locker room during the first half of the match and collapsed a few minutes later on the pitch.
The match doctor and team members responded immediately, attempting to revive him, and a defibrillator was also used. The 21-year-old footballer was rushed to hospital by ambulance. Despite the doctors' efforts for about an hour, he could not be saved.
The news of his death shocked the football public, with friends, teammates and sports personalities expressing their sadness at the sudden loss of the young athlete.
