Prime Minister Rama mocks the opposition coalition and talks about the candidate lists for the May 11 elections
Prime Minister Edi Rama has mocked the opposition coalition, the “Alliance for a Greater Albania,” which includes 26 parties, led by the Democratic Party of Albania. Rama described the coalition as a “bunch of rascals,” adding that the only great thing he can see is Kujtim Gjuzi’s mustache.
He made the statements during a meeting with socialist women for March 8th.
The Prime Minister also focused on the Socialist Party's list of candidates for the May 11 elections, explaining that only new politicians will be on the closed lists, while older ones will be part of the open list.
"They have gathered all the male races of Albania, in the name of a greatness that God knows where it is. The only great thing I see is Kujtim Gjuzi's mustache. Look at Kujtim Gjuzi's mustache and there you have the greatness of that trunk of races," Rama said.
He added that the Socialist Party will have a completely different approach to the elections, emphasizing that men who have received mandates from the SP will have to earn their seats again, while women will be the ones who will lead and represent the process for the next four years. Rama emphasized that the closed lists will contain boys and girls who are the strength of youth, the strength of women and of an Albania that looks beyond 2030,” Rama said.
