The newest member of the Albanian Parliament is expected to be Marjana Koçeku, who has been recognized on social media as a very famous entrepreneur in the field of agrotourism.
Known as "Neomalsorja", the candidate on the closed list of socialists in Shkodra has reacted to the attacks and comparisons being made to Lenka Çuko, who became a member of the Politburo in 1971, at the age of 33 after being taken from the village.
"I don't want to stop and comment on whether I will be an elected or "appointed" MP. This is the electoral system to which this cycle belongs, we are in its infancy, and for me, the most important thing is that what I want to bring to my community, comes among you as a positive spirit.
As for the comparisons with Lenka Çuko, as a former student of political science, I feel sorry that some of you are stuck in the past and still turn your heads back to find anything similar to the period of socialist realism. Because I, personally, believe that the worst thing that can happen to a nation is nostalgia for communism; therefore, I really feel sorry for you! I was born and raised in a democracy and I am guided only by the sacred democratic principles!
Shkodra District, is the most important in the north of the country. The closed list of the SP in the Shkodra District also includes Xhenis Çelaj, the daughter of the current MP who joined the Socialists from the Freedom Party, Agron Çela, who, together with Paulin Stërkaj, will no longer be among the future lawmakers.
