The prosecution sent the case for trial, the two perpetrators of the murder of Egli Proga appear in court

Denis Meçe and Leonidha Guçe, the suspected perpetrators of the murder of Egli Proga in Pogradec, arrived at the Korça courthouse this Monday morning, accompanied by police forces. The hearing began at 09:00.
After two years, the Prosecution closed the investigation and sent the case to trial for five people. The prosecution charged Denis Meçe and Leonidha Guçe with intentional murder committed in collaboration.
The two accused were until today under the security measure of "house arrest", while the other three, Arjan Manellari, Voltan Shkulaku and Andi Shkulaku, left under "compulsory appearance" are accused of failing to report a crime and committing acts that impede the uncovering of the truth.
Leonidha Guçe was initially investigated only for failing to report a crime, but 9 months after the murder, the Prosecution discovered that he had also participated in the brutal beating of Proga, along with Denis Meçe.
Proga was raped inside the bar by Leonidha Guçe and then beaten when she left the bar by Denis Meçe.
