Hide Balluk's villas, Igli Tare appears in SPAK

Former Albanian national football player, Igli Tare, appeared this Monday at the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK).
He is being investigated on suspicion of money laundering in collaboration with former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure Belinda Balluku.
At the center of SPAK's verifications are two villas, one in Dhërmi and the other in Palasa, which SPAK suspects are owned by Balluk, but hidden in the name of Igli Tara.
Balluku could not register the villa in her name and to hide the wealth, SPAK says she used former footballer Igli Tare and a subordinate of hers at Albcontrol, chief of staff Joana Bushi. According to prosecutors, Igli Tare became the fictitious owner of the villa through a contract signed on December 5, 2018.
As part of the same investigations, Igli Tare's brother, Agron Tare, has also been summoned to the special prosecutor's office.
