Today and tomorrow, intense rainfall throughout Albania, Institute of Geosciences: Storms may bring problems to Shkodra, Lezha and Vlora

The Institute of Geosciences informs that this afternoon and tomorrow, moderate to locally intense rainfall is expected in the Shkodër and Lezha districts, while moderate rainfall is expected in the Durrës and Vlora districts.

Light to locally moderate precipitation is expected in the regions of Kukës, Dibër, Tirana and Elbasan. Light precipitation is expected in the other regions (as shown in the table, respectively for each region). In most regions, precipitation is expected to be in the form of thunderstorms.

This afternoon, thunderstorms and high rainfall intensity may create various problems, such as landslides and flooding in urban areas, depending on the sewage system in the Shkodër, Lezha and Vlora regions.

Regarding temperatures, tomorrow the minimum and maximum air temperatures are expected to reach on the coast: 18 / 23°C, in lowlands: 17 / 24°C and in mountainous areas: 11 / 21°C.     

Also, the Institute of Geosciences informs that this afternoon and tomorrow the wind is expected to blow light to moderate, while on the coast it will be strong. Regarding fires, today and tomorrow there is no danger in all regions.
