Prime Minister Rama announces the establishment of the Ministry of Public Administration, also reveals the name of the director: Let's expand the range of tasks and ambitions

Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that the Ministry of Public Administration will be established next week.

During his speech, Rama argued that the establishment of this institution comes as a response to the importance that public administration has taken on in the work of the government and in Albania's European integration process.

"We will create the Ministry of Public Administration next week, precisely because the topic of public administration is now a very central topic of the government's work, but it is also a very central topic of Albania's further European statehood," Rama said.

The head of government emphasized that the new ministry aims to expand responsibilities and objectives for the modernization of the administration, referring to models implemented in other European countries.

"It is necessary that, through the Ministry of Public Administration, a model that many other European countries have, we expand the range of tasks, the range of jobs and, of course, the range of ambitions to elevate the European state of Albanians," declared the Prime Minister.

Rama also hinted that the leadership of the new institution will be entrusted to the Minister of State for Public Administration, Adea Pirdeni, considering her the right choice to continue this process.

"In my view, it is indisputable that the Ministry of Public Administration can only be led by the state ministry for Public Administration," said Rama, thanking the administration representatives for their dedication.
