Flick doesn't see what Real is doing: Difficult match, I'm proud of the team

"The match was very difficult and very important. I am extremely proud of what my team has done over these past weeks and months."
These were Hansi Flick's first words after Barcelona's victory last night, 0-1 on the Leganés field.
"The three points - continued Flick, as reported by 'Marca' - is something great for us. It's perfect. Sometimes you think that the matches are like the ones between Dortmund and Atlético... but no.
"There are very difficult matches, like today's. I'm very proud of the team, especially the way they defended. Iñigo Martínez's last performance was perfect."
Regarding the difference with Real, he said:
"What we're doing is focusing on ourselves. Right now, we're focused on recovery. I always tell the players that the most important thing is recovery.
"We will arrive in Barcelona at dawn, rest tomorrow (today) and then travel to Dortmund on Monday. But there are no excuses – we are only focused on the pitch."
Barcelona has taken a big step forward in 2025:
"Everyone has taken a step forward. At the beginning of November we suffered a lot, but after the end-of-year break everything changed. The key was the loss against Atlético.
"We lost, but we played very well, and with that confidence we started the year. The players need more recovery time, but that is out of our control."
