Real Madrid, with 17 coaches employed in just over 22 years

Florentino Perez surpasses Santiago Bernabeu as the Real Madrid president who has made the most changes to the team's bench. The historic president of Los Blancos, after whom Real's stadium is named, has made 16 changes to the Merengue team's bench. The coach who will replace Xabi Alonso in the current team, Alvaro Arbeloa, is the 17th in the Florentino Perez era. The difference is that Santiago Bernabeu made the changes to the bench in 34 years, while Florentino Perez in 22 and a half years.
Legends say that Santiago Bernabeu had the principle that Real Madrid should not fire coaches and that everyone should see their contracts through to the end and not resign. However, things have not always been like this because in the 34 years of Bernabeu's tenure at the helm of Real Madrid, Miguel Munoz remained in office for 14 years from 1960-1974, the rest of the coaches were fired and we are talking about Miljanic, Fleitas or Enrique Fernández. Ramón Encinas, Jacinto Quincoces and Baltasar Albéniz in two stages, Michael Keeping, Héctor Scarone, Juan Antonio Ipiña, Enrique Fernández, José Villalonga, Luis Carniglia, Manuel Fleitas Solich, Miguel Muñoz, Luis Molowny in two eras and Miljan Miljanic.
Florentino Perez in 23 seasons, has had 15 coaches, but some of them in several stages. In the first era of his presidency 2000-2006, he had 6 coaches, but in the first 3 seasons he had 1 coach, Vicente Del Bosque, while in the period 2003-2006, Carlos Queiroz, José Antonio Camacho, Mariano García Remón, Vanderley Luxemburgo and Juan Ramón López Caro sat on the bench of Los Blancos. In the era of the second presidency, there are 8 coaches who have led Real Madrid, but there are those who have been in several stages. Manuel Pellegrini, José Mourinho, Carlo Ancellotti and Zinedine Zidane have developed their seasons completely, while Rafael Benitez and Julen Lopetegui did not make it. After Lopetegui came to the bench Santiago Solari and then Zinedine Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti with their second stages. Now Xabi Alonso is gone and Alvaro Arbeloa is coming. In total, 15 coaches have left and 17 have come to the bench.
The most unstable period of Real Madrid's coaching staff belongs to the presidency of Lorenzo Sanz. From 1995 to 2000, Jorge Valdano, Vicente del Bosque, Arsenio Iglesias, Fabio Capello, Jupp Heynckes, José Antonio Camacho, Guus Hiddink, John Benjamin Toshack and Vicente del Bosque again sat on the bench of Los Blancos. Ramon Mendoza hired 9 new coaches in 10 seasons, 3 in 1985-1990 and 6 in 1990-1995.
