Gasperini is shaken up at Roma, Dovbyk will be out for a long time

Bad news for Roma and coach Gian Piero Gasperini. Artem Dovbyk will undergo surgery after injuring his left thigh during the last match of the championship against Lecce.
The Ukrainian striker will undergo surgery on Monday in Finland, as confirmed by the Verdhek club itself through an official statement.
"After careful evaluations and diagnostic examinations, it has been decided to proceed with surgical intervention for the myotendinous injury in the left thigh," Roma said in a statement.
According to initial reports, Dovbyk is expected to be out for at least two months, a serious absence for the offensive unit at a delicate moment in the season. The striker's injury not only affects the sporting aspect, but also complicates the transfer market plans.
Sporting director Massara was working to find a solution for Dovbyk, with the aim of freeing up space and bringing in a new reinforcement in attack, fulfilling Gasperini's demands after rejecting Raspador.
