Shock for Ilir Daja, the undisputed starter ends up at Dinamo

Dinamo's qualification to the quarterfinals of the Albanian Cup has cost the Blues dearly as they have lost the services of Bekim Maliqi. The right-back was injured midway through the first half, being forced to leave the field on a stretcher and yesterday, he underwent an MRI.

Unfortunately, the injury turned out to be as serious as initially thought, as the Kosovo defender tore his cruciate ligament. Such an injury is one of the most serious injuries that footballers suffer and for this reason, Maliqi's season is considered over as it will take around 6 months or more to recover.

The defender will undergo surgery and then will have to rest for several weeks before starting therapy and individual training, where initially there will be physiotherapy, exercises and only in the last weeks before returning, will he go down to the green field. At Dinamo, they hope that Maliqi will be ready for the start of the new season, given that this season and Europe are practically difficult or even impossible, since a hasty return in such situations would lead to an even more serious injury.

REPLACEMENT -  Dinamo has a shortage on the right side of the defense and currently, only Meksi is a defender on that side. In such conditions, Dinamo will definitely seek intervention in the transfer market to fill the backroom department, seeing that the season is long and not even half of the matches have ended, including the Albanian Cup and the "Final 4". Thus, in the coming days it is expected that Dinamo will bring a right defender to the team to avoid concerns in the continuation of the season, although at this point in the championship, the alternatives on the market are not numerous.
