Tensions at the Presidency of the Assembly, police remove protesters from the secondary entrance to guarantee the exit of deputies

Police forces have intervened near the premises of the Presidency of the Parliament in Tirana, where they have removed a group of protesters who had gathered near the secondary entrance of the building.

According to reports from the field, the protesters were positioned on the other side of the main entrance with the intention of waiting for the MPs to leave after the end of parliamentary proceedings and meetings.

In order to prevent any possible incident and guarantee the movement of lawmakers, police services intervened by repelling citizens and clearing the perimeter of the exit from the building.

The presence of law enforcement remains increased in the area to prevent further escalation of tensions.
