They embezzled around 5 million euros through Call Center fraud, the Appeal of the Criminal Court upholds the sentence of over 100 years in prison for Bruno Çobo's group

The Special Court's appeal has upheld the sentences of over 100 years in prison for 16 defendants, Bruno Çobo's group, who defrauded European citizens through Call Centers.

The leader of the group, Bruno Çobo, was sentenced by the First Instance Court to 12 years in prison, but after a summary trial, his sentence was reduced to 8 years in prison. Elisa Çaçi, Gilbert Pushani, Valbona Abedinaj and Erion Kastrati were sentenced to 7 years and 4 months in prison each.

While Aldo Pasku, Bruno Gjika, Rezarta Ibrahimi, Orland Cani, Florjan Bregu, Hamit Dobi, Greta Gjoci, Gjin Shelnishta, Antoneta Malo, Silvana Veliu and Mojsi Zuna were each sentenced to 6 years and 8 months in prison.

Bruno Çobo led the group that made 4.7 million euros by defrauding European citizens through Call Centers. Çobo was extradited from Abu Dhabi to Albania on March 13, 2024.

People were contacted by phone, offered the online purchase of Amazon shares with the false promise of earning large sums of money quickly.

Orland Cani – 6 years and 8 months in prison

Florjan Bregu – 6 years and 8 months in prison

Hamit Dobi – 6 years and 8 months in prison

Greta Gjoci (Pepa) – 6 years and 8 months in prison

Gjin Shelnishta – 6 years and 8 months imprisonment

Antoneta Malo (Pepkolaj) – 6 years and 8 months in prison

Silvana Veliu – 6 years and 8 months in prison

Mojsi Zuna – 6 years and 8 months in prison
