Protest at the University of Durres, police remove students before meeting with Rama

Students of the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University in Durrës have gathered in protest in anticipation of Prime Minister Edi Rama's visit to the university premises.
Students have gathered to express their concerns regarding the issues they face at the start of the new academic year.
The focus of the protest is transportation and accommodation, issues that continue to remain among the main concerns for UAMD students.
Meanwhile, during the protest, the police intervened by removing students from the premises where the meeting with the head of government was expected to take place.
Thousands of young people study at the Spitalla campus, while a significant portion of them travel every day from Tirana to Durrës.
This situation has made transportation one of the ongoing problems for students, especially for those who do not have the opportunity to find accommodation near the university.
