The Supreme Court dismisses the case against former judge Ardian Hajdari

The Supreme Court has dismissed previous cases against Ardian Hajdari, who was convicted of failing to declare assets.

The former vetting judge had filed an appeal with the Supreme Court against the sentencing decision.

The panel of judges, led by Judge Gent Shala, decided to overturn the previous decisions and to discontinue the trial of the case, without returning it for reconsideration to the lower courts.

Hajdari was  criminally charged  to SPAK for "Forgery of documents" and "Hiding income" in June 2020 by former magistrates Antoneta Sevdari, Elsion Sadiku and Ervin Metalla .

Since February 7, 2022, Hajdari has been suspended from his duties at the KPA, after being indicted by the Special Prosecution Office. He was tried for the criminal offenses of “concealment of income” and “false declaration of assets.”

In the final decision, the court dismissed the charge for the other criminal offense of "forgery of documents" and convicted the former KPA member only for the criminal offense of concealing assets.
